- कम बरसात या पानी की कमी का होना।
- बहुत बारिश से फसल का खराब होना।

- किसी रोग या कीट प्रकोप की वजह से पैदावार का बिगड़ जाना।
आज हम बात करेंगे कि पौधे की वृद्धि के समय कीड़ों और रोगों से अपने फ़सलों की सुरक्षा कैसे करें। वैसे तो इसका रामबाण इलाज है आप पहले से ऐसे रोग-प्रतिरोधी किस्मों के बीजों को चुनें, जो रोगों व बदलते हुए वातावरण के प्रति सहनशील हों।
लेकिन, अगर इतना सब करने पर भी फूल आने के पहले ही आपकी फसल किसी रोग की चपेट में आ जाए तो आपको कुछ तरकीबें अपनाना चाहिए।
- आप ऐसी दवाओं को काम में लाएं जिसे कीड़ों या फंगस वाले स्थान पर छिड़क देने से कीड़े-मकौड़े और फंगस खत्म हो जाएं। जैसे कीटनाशकों को कीड़ों-फंगस पर छिड़कने पर कीड़े-फफूंद नष्ट हो जाते हैं।
- पौधों पर लगने वाली इल्लियां नीम की गिरी छिड़कने से नष्ट हो जाती है।
- कीड़ों और फफूंद को उनके विश्राम के समय खेत से दूर ले जाकर कड़ी धूप में छोड़ दें।
- अपने पौधों का निरीक्षण करें। रोगग्रस्त पौधों को हटा दें। पौधों के आस-पास घासफूस को भी हटा दें, क्योंकि वे कीटों का घर बन सकते हैं।
- मिट्टी की नमी का स्तर देखें। मिट्टी को बहुत गीली या सूखी ना रहने दें।
उन्नत बीज चुनें
कृषक बंधुओं- किसी जाति के बीजों की प्रतिरोधक क्षमता कम होती है, तो किसी की ज्यादा। आपको बीज की ऐसी जाति चुनना चाहिए, जिसमें रोगों से मुकाबला करने की ताकत हो। इससे फसलों की बीमारियों से अपने आप रक्षा हो जाएगी। बीजों की हाइब्रिड किस्मों से काफी सुरक्षा मिलती है। सयाजी सीड्स के हाइब्रिड बीजों का इस्तेमाल करें। ये बीज प्रमाणित होते हैं। जैसे कि अगर आपका गेंहू उन्नत जाति का है तो उसमें रोग नहीं लग सकेंगा। बीज के पैकेट यह अंकित होता है।
खेती के आधुनिक तरीके अपनाएं
फ़सलों को बीमारियों से बचाने का दूसरा उपाय है कृषि के उन्नत तरीका का प्रयोग करना। अगर आप खेती की गहरी जुताई करते हैं या फ़सलों को हेरफेर करके बोते हैं तो फ़सलों में बीमारी आने की संभावना काफी हद तक कम हो जाती है। इसका दूसरा फायदा यह भी होता है कि मिट्टी के पोषक तत्वों को भी संतुलित रहने में मदद मिलती है।
- अगर आपकी फ़सलों में बार-बार फफूंदी या फंगस लग रहा है तो अच्छा यही होगा कि आप उसके बीज की किस्म को ही बदल दें।
- कीड़े आमतौर पर हर साल एक ही समय में दिखाई देते हैं। इसलिए, इनसे बचने के लिए पौधों के लगाने के समय को शिड्यूल करने की कोशिश करें।
कई बार, ज़मीन में ठीक से वायु का बहाव ना होने पर भी फफूंद या फंगस लग जाया करता है। गन्ने में ऐसा अक्सर देखने को मिलता है। फंगस लग जाने से गन्ने से मिलने वाली शक्कर की तादाद में कमी आ जाती है। तो भाइयों अपनी ज़मीन की मिट्टी को अच्छी तरह ढीला रखें जिससे उसमें से वायु का प्रवेश आसानी से हो सकें।
कभी-कभी आप देखेंगे कि ज़मीन के उर्वरा शक्ति से भरपूर होने पर भी, पौधा कमजोर विकसित होता है। इसकी वजह है मिट्टी की बनावट। पानी पड़ते ही संबंधित ज़मीन में से हवा का प्रवेश बंद हो जाता है। पौधे की कमजोर स्थिति का फायदा कीड़े या फंगस उठाकर उसके ऊपर हमला कर देते हैं।
इसलिए, मित्रों, पौधे की वृद्धि की अवस्था में आप खेती की जुताई अच्छी रखें। उसमें पानी का बहाव अच्छा रखें। इससे उसमें से हवा अच्छे से गुज़र सकेंगी।
