आज हम आपको बताएँगे कि पौधों में मिट्टी चढ़ाने से क्या लाभ होता है और इसे कैसे करते हैं। दोस्तों, पौधों को मिट्टी चढ़ाने से उनको हवा, पानी और पोषक तत्व मिलता है। यह सारा काम खुरपे और फावड़े की मदद से किया जाता है।
पौधों में मिट्टी चढ़ाने का कारण ✅
अलग-अलग फ़सलों में मिट्टी चढ़ाने की अलग-अलग वजहें होती हैं।
- अब मक्का या बाजरे जैसे पौधों को ही लीजिए। इसमें फल ऊपर की ओर लगा रहता है। इसलिए, इन पौधों के ऊपर का भाग आमतौर पर भारी होता है। तेज हवा से इनके गिरने का डर होता है। तो, ऐसे पौधों को सहारा देने के लिए इन पर मिट्टी चढ़ाई जाती है।
- मूंगफली के खेतों में, फल आने के पहले टहनियों के ऊपर मिट्टी चढ़ाई जाती है। इसकी वजह यह है कि मूंगफली के फल मिट्टी के अंदर ही अच्छी तरह से बढ़ते हैं।
- वहीं, गन्ने के पौधों में मट्टी चढ़ाने का काम कई बार करना पड़ता है। इसका कारण यह है कि पौधे के निचले भाग में मट्टी के पास ही जड़ें निकला करती हैं। जितनी बार पेड़ जड़ें छोड़ते है उतनी बार उन पर मिट्टी चढ़ाते जाएं। ऐसा करने से जड़ें भीतर ही भीतर विकसित होकर गन्ने के पेड़ को बल देती हैं।
- आलू, अदरक और हल्दी की फ़सलों में भी मिट्टी चढ़ाना काफी फ़ायदेमंद रहता है। इसका कारण यह है कि इनकी तने और टहनियां भूमि के अंदर से खाद्य पदार्थों को इकट्ठा करती हैं। जिससे इन्हें शक्ति मिलती रहती है।
- पेठा कद्दू (कुम्हड़े) की खेती के दौरान, उसकी टहनियों में जगह-जगह गांठें निकल आया करती हैं। इन गांठों पर मट्टी चढ़ाने से वहीं से जड़े फूट पड़ती हैं। ये जड़े कद्दू के पौधों को आवश्यक खाद्य पदार्थों की सप्लाई करती हैं।
- अगर आप फूल गोभी में ऐसा करते हैं तो फूल गोभी का पौधा अच्छी तरह से बढ़ता है। उसमें रंग अच्छा आता है। दूसरी बात यह है कि पानी की निकासी भी अच्छी तरह से हो जाती है।
किसान बंधुओं – मिट्टी चढ़ाने की प्रक्रिया से पौधों को हवा, पानी और पोषक तत्व हासिल होते हैं। जिन फ़सलों में मिट्टी चढ़ाने की जरूरत पड़ती है उसमें से पानी नालियों द्वारा आसानी से निकाला जा सकता है। इससे मिट्टी भुरभुरी हो जाती है, और मिट्टी में नमी बनी रहती है। पौधों को मजबूत आधार मिलने से उनकी ताकत बढ़ती है। इससे आपके द्वारा डाली गई खाद का भी भरपूर उपयोग होता है, और कम खाद में ज्यादा उपज प्राप्त होती है। इस प्रकार से देखा जाए तो पौधों को एक मजबूत संरक्षण मिलने से पौधों का विकास अच्छी तरह से होता है।

Reasons for earthing up in the plants ✅
Different crops have different reasons for earthing up.

- In Peanut fields, soil is applied on the twigs before the fruits arrive. This is because peanut fruits grow well inside the soil.
- The soil filling in Sugarcane plants has to be done several times. The reason for this is that the roots in the lower part of the plant grow near the soil. The number of times the roots grow out of the plants, the soil should be given on them. By doing this, the roots grow inwards and provide strength to the sugarcane tree.
- Earthing up is also beneficial in Potato, Ginger and Turmeric crops. The reason for this is that their stems and twigs collect food items from inside the land. Due to which they continue to get strength.
- During the cultivation of Petha Pumpkin, lumps appear in different places of its twigs. Placing soil on these knots brings out roots from there. They supply essential food substances to the pumpkin plants.
- If you do this in Cauliflower, then the flower of cabbage plant grows well. It brings good color to it. Secondly, water drainage also takes place well.
The plants get air, water and nutrients through the process of soil infusion. In crops that require soil application, water is easily released through drains. This makes the soil friable, and the soil remains moist. Plants get a strong base and their strength also increases. This also makes good use of the fertilizer you put in, and yields more in less manure. The plants grow well due to strong protection.
